Question about Cameras
There is a capacitor that goes bad in the X series. You can find themon eBay. A simple soldering job. One is in the bottom of the camera and the other is at the top.

The frequent electronic failure of the X700 seems to be a simple failure of two 220uF/4V capacitors.
Simply replace them and it works again !
