Question about Acer Aspire T310 PC Desktop
Tried installing Windows XP OS into an ACER system using a new harddrive, but it comes up with a system error. I think I need to to run the original ACER recovery cd with the XP OS on there which I dont have or have access to. Is there a way around this? New harddrive is brandnew and unformatted. Any help appreciated.
No matter what you do, you need to partiton and format the drive and install an OS, be it with the Acer recovery disks or with an original XP install disk. You will need to boot from your CD drive to install the OS, if your drive is not bootable you will need to boot from a floppy and load drivers for the CD drive. For information on how to get these boot floppies check out this Microsoft link:
