I have Canon Powershot D800 how can I download photos to my computer please

Welcome to FixYa.

Just connect the USB cable included in the camera accessories to your computer and camera. It should prompt you to download the pictures automatically.

If not, click on START (windows logo on the lower left of your screen), then click COMPUTER (or My Computer), then go to the storage where Canon is located. search through the folders where the pictures are located. copy and paste the pictures manually to your desktop.

Another solutions is to install the software using the CD that came with your camera.

Thank you for using FIxYa. Have a great day.

Consider NOT using the USB connection.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

How to copy pictures onto a cd

1. An USB cable should have come with the camera. Connect the cable to the camera and to the computer. 2. Insert the CD. 3. Double click on the CD. It should open up a folder for you to put files into before burning it. 4. After you have selected and dragged the photos that you want to have in the CD, click on the Burn button.
I hope this helps, i appreciate your vote

I dont know how to download the pictures from my camera which is a p80 nikon coolpix onto my computer. please help

If the camera uses a memory card things are simple ..just insert the camera with the usb cable and the pc will see the card like a removable device into my computer folder...from its folder you can actually copy /paste the picture in the computer ..
if not..you need a driver ..(probably you have one that came on a cd with the camera) just install the driver and the computer will communicate with the camera
after that either will see it into the my computer folder...or use a manager for picture to import from device ...use windows picture manager ..or the manager that usually came on the driver cd ..or just any other manager ...
Coose the import from device feature ...select the pictures and the folder (follow instructions) and download them ...be careful cause some of them have option to delete the picture after download and you may not want this...

Missing CD-ROM & cables for Curtis Digital Camera Model# DCD5159

Well it appears that Curtis has discontinued all support for this camera. You might be able to obtain a USB connector that fits the camera online. Most use the standard/micro USB connector. As far as drivers if Curtis does not have it on their site then they might be tough to find. If you are using Vista the it might recoqnize the camera and install drivers automatically. If the camera has removable memory card you could remove the card after taking the pictures and put in the SD port of the computer and transfer the pictures onto it.

Need a CD for the camera.

You dont need the disc to download to computer.Take the card from the camera and put it into the card reader on your computer if one is fitted, if not you need one that goes into a USB slot When the card is inserted into the reader a box will open on the screen with several options as to view images or download them.

I would also download Picasa 3 which puts your photos in date order and also has photo editing. This is a free download and is part of google. Tripod try ebay or jessops

First time transferring photos in camera to computer for emailing

You don't need the cd for instruction. When the usb cable is attached to the camera it is viewed as an extra drive. You can open that and transfer any pic you want.

My daughter lost the instruction manual. i need to learn how to upload photos

Should be able to interface with a computer via USB connection that came with the camera. Pictures on a memory card can be printed at a store with a photo lab, like CVS, using a Kodak kiosk. You can put the card in the machine, print pics or save them to a cd.

Need software cd and usb cable

Hi, if you want to download pictures taken on camera to computer the best way is to buy an USB card reader. You take the card out of the camera, into the reader and you card will be available as a disk on your computer, allowing copying pictures very fast and easy.

Putting pictures on computer

There should be an USB cable among your camera accessories, check for it. Than just plug it in and turn camera on. Computer should detect your camera by itself. After that just copy pictures from camera to hard disk. You can save them as, copy and past or drag and drop just like you do with any other files on your PC. When you're done, first turn off camera and than unplug the USB cable from the computer.
