It can be any number of things that is causing blue screens. RAM failing, Corrupted Windows files, wrong hardware drivers, etc.

What is the error information on the blue screen if you can read it if the screen doesn't disappear?

During Start all PCs go through something called a POST, which is a power on self-self. To Solve your problem you must first eliminate what it can't be. For sure its not RAM failing b/c the computer wondnt power on. It could be a corrupted windows files.
Try starting the computer into safemode by doing at coldboot and immeadialty after the computer turns on pressing either the F9, F8 or F7 depending on ur model. if you can get it into safemode try doing a system restore . If that doesnt work then you will most likely have to reinstall your OS

My POS-X XPC500-Series won't turn on. The lights and fans kick on, Genesis logo shows, the a "no signal" shows up on the screen. Then the screen goes black. Any info? Thanks Brian

It is possible that an internal monitor cord got disconnected. You can do a random inspection to see if there is a loose cord once you open up the computer. If you are not comfortable with doing that, then take it to a certified computer repair shop for their diagnosis.
