Check the screen on the TV by using a flash light to look at it. If it has the smallest crack in it the TV will not turn on. Also check the power source to make sure that the outlet is not out or the cord is not burnt up anywhere. The last thing I would do is take the cover off of the TV and see if the board behind the screen looks burnt or maybe if there is a blown fuse. If it is a blown fuse you can fix that if you don't see anything or the board looks burnt up, try to weight the costs between replacing the TV or having someone fix it for you.
