You should first contact Power Acoustic to see if they can provide the replacement fuse holder. If not, you can bypass it but you MUST then use the proper external inline fuse to provide protection for the amp and protection against electrical fires.

How to test a fuse

Remove the fuse from the fuse holder.
Use a multi-meter aet to low ohms scale.
Place each probe on the ends of the fuse, if the multi-meter shows a low reading then the fuseis OK. If the multi-meter shows a high reading or no reading the the fuse is open circuit or blown.
If the fuse is a glass type and it is burnt on the inside then the fuse is blown.

My old GE Spacemaker II microwave (JEM21K001) died. I was using it, heard a little pop, and it lost all power. Is this something simple to fix like replacing a fuse or is it bulk trash at this point?

take on these steps to solve the problem.

Check if there is electric power on wall outlet.

If the microwave plug has fuse, check if it has not burnt.if these are okay there is need to take the last step.

things needed
3.New fuse

1. Unplug the microwave from the electrical outlet to prevent electrocution. Place the microwave in a well-lit area to be able to locate the fuse.

2. Use a screwdriver to remove the outer cabinet of the microwave, and follow the power cord to the fuse. The fuse is located 2 to 3 inches within the microwave and is attached to the power board.

3. Observe the fuse to determine if it is blown. Blown glass fuses will produce burn marks on nearby surfaces, or the internal fuse wire will be black and melted, while ceramic fuses show no outward appearance of being blown.

4. Determine if a ceramic fuse is blown by testing it with an ohmmeter. If the ohmmeter reads zero ohms, your fuse is not blown. Other readings on the ohmmeter show that your fuse is blown.
5. Replace the blown fuse by popping it out of its holder, and snapping a new fuse in its place. Tighten the fuse clips by squeezing them together with your fingers.

6. Replace the outer cabinet of the microwave, and plug the microwave back into the electrical outlet. Test the microwave to see if it's working properly.

Factory stereo will not power up found booster fuse blown and everytime its replace it blows right away

whatever you do don't put a bigger fuse in because it'll just cause more problems. it's either that there's a damaged or burnt wire or something inside the stereo has gone. so just check the wires and if they're alright it'd be easier and cheaper to just replace the stereo instead of trying to find someone who'll fix it.

It does not turn television on

Check the screen on the TV by using a flash light to look at it. If it has the smallest crack in it the TV will not turn on. Also check the power source to make sure that the outlet is not out or the cord is not burnt up anywhere. The last thing I would do is take the cover off of the TV and see if the board behind the screen looks burnt or maybe if there is a blown fuse. If it is a blown fuse you can fix that if you don't see anything or the board looks burnt up, try to weight the costs between replacing the TV or having someone fix it for you.

Power does not turn on

Since it does not turn on, first place to look will be the pwoer supply module, look for blown fuse, burnt parts, capacitors.

Which fuse is the radio fuse? Is it a certain color? Does it have a specific color? And how do i tell if it is blown?

Hello, On your fuse block you will see "Radio" or "RAD" and the fuse right there is it, you pull it out and if it is black or the thin silver piece is separated from the other side (burnt in the middle) than it is burnt out and needs replacing with the same size fuse at any parts store....
The fuse size usually is 10 or 15 in most domestics.
It would be best to buy a variety pack of fuses for unforeseen future fuses and put them in your car's glove box or trunk or tool kit!!!
Once you buy the new one just match it up and slide it in (with the car off!!!) and that is it, it should work fine after that, unless you have an electrical problem! Then you need a diagnostic test at a place like precision tune, etc ($40 to $60).....
Good luck!

When I hook up my horse trailer to my 2003 Ford Excursion, it blows the fuse for the running lights. The blinkers and brake lights work, but that is all. If I change the blown fuse, it will only blow...

fix the plug, car or trailer, and check the wiring and bulb sockets in the trailer
bigger fuses are equal to burnt wiring harness or fires in either vehicle

Fix for overheated Kustom KPM 7250 PA amp

You can start by trying a new fuse, use the correct fuse for your amp. If the fuse is blown, you can look at it and see the middle is burnt connecting the two sides.
