My washer will not start

    my washing machine will not agitate or fill up with water. When I turn it on it makes a faint buzzing sound

Hi..sounds like a fuse or circuit breaker problem.if it still
continue with the problem then you may have a lid switch
problem.

Tip the washer onto the front and you will be able to see through the bottom to look for leaks.

Replace the motor coupling between the motor and transmission its very easy if you tilt the machine back and remove the two screws holding the motor brackets.

90 Series Kenmore Washer Not going to spin cycle not draining water


I've had the same problem...you can purchase a replacement lid switch at your local appliance parts store for about $35. Fortunatly, the sales person at the appliance store had diagrams and provided instructions to replace the switch. I was able to finish the job and fix the switch in less than 1 hour. Good Luck.
