LAN port of my HN7000s modem is faulty and only power light is on

I restarted the modem then it resets and kept restarting thereafter. I was advised to reset through a small hole by the LAN port. I did and since then I could not get into the modem. Is only the the power light that is showing and occassionally all the lights will blink. Some sugested that the modem is burnt while someone feels is a firmware problem.

Could any one help me with an idea to fix it?
Thank you!

I have a 1 port fxs voip voice modem, i have connected it and it is working. but the problem is that any time i power off my pc, i will have to reprogram it. can any body help me please?

the pc and ata are not reliant on each other. ensure the ata is plugged directly into you router.
unplug the lan lead and do a factory reset the ata via the ivr. once the unit has restarted plug in the lan and get the ip address via the ivr. set up the ata, rebooting after each page update (do not update more than 1 page before rebooting the ata).
you should now have a functioning ata and should be able to turn off your pc without issue.
if the ata now loses its settings then it is probably faulty (I've had a couple of ht386s go faulty in a similar way).

Not getting connected to local area connection. An yellow light glows near the lan port even after the system is turned off.

The problem you describe could be occurring for many reasons. First, I need to know what kind of network connection you are using, wireless or Cat 5 cable wired? Next are you sure your network TCP/IP settings are correct for your network? Are you sure your internet provider is not having an outage? What type of network equipment are you using to connect to the internet? Sometimes, restarting your router or modem will solve connection problems. Try a restart but pulling the power plug on your router or pushing the reset button on your modem if you have not router. The restart your computer and see if the connection comes back. If that does not work, provide me more detail, but answering the questions above so I can assist you further.

How to install?

Turn your cable-modem (or DSL-modem) off.

Use an Ethernet cable to connect from the modem to the 'WAN' (or 'Internet') port on the router.

Use another Ethernet cable to connect from one of the 'LAN' (or 'network') ports on the router to the network-port on your computer.

Connect all the power-supplies.

Turn the modem on, and wait until it's fully restarted.

Turn the router on, and wait until it's fully restarted.

Restart your computer.

You should now have Internet access.

Just got a new router (motorola) and airport will

Check your connections:

DSL-modem to telephone-jack (or cable-modem to cable-jack).

Ethernet cable from DSL-modem (or from cable-modem) to WAN port on your router.

Ethernet cable from LAN port on router to WAN port on your Airport.

Cut the power to the Airport, and then plug it back in, so that it restarts.

Hi,
You need to go into the BIOS and see if the LAN port had been disabled.
To do this restart your computer and hit the Del key, that will get you into the BIOS, look for On-board Devices and check that the LAN is enabled.

Good luck.

My router doesnt work now that I have a new modem. I have Comcast internet and the Blitzz BWA611 router

Have you restarted the devices in order?
  1. Unplug the Ethernet cables from modem to router and router to computer.
  2. Restart the modem and wait until all lights are on
  3. Restart the router and wait until all lights are on
  4. Plug in an Ethernet cable from modem (first) to router (WAN or Internet port, second).
  5. Plug in an Ethernet cable from the router (first, LAN port) to your computer (second).
  6. Check the settings of the router - Make sure it is set to DHCP.
If you have any more questions or this description is not clear to you, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

Not able to configure and connect to internet using router

Try 192.168.0.0 which would be the default address to access your modem. This should allow you to go into the modem and adjust changes. I know on the bottom of my router there is an administrator default password that can e used to access the mainframe of the modem. Check out these features in there. I would start first by connecting via LAN again and then try to conntect to it via a WAN but again see if you can access the modem using the 192.168.0.0.

Can not connect to internet

Please provide the following information so that I can provide the best solution to your problem

1. Number of computers.
2. Type of connection through the modem(username, password or automatic)
3. Number of computers.

In the meantime you may do this. Connect an Ethernet cable or LAN cable from your wildblue modem (internet provider) to the yellow port on the router, Then connect a LAN cable from your computer to the ports 1,2,3 or 4 on the router. Press the reset button on the router for 30 seconds then let go and pull out the power. Plug the power back in and restart your computer. Check if you have internet. If you need help on the wireless portion of the router. PM me

If you have cable internet then you need to :
* disconnect router from cable modem
* restart the cable modem (power off-on)
* restart the router (power off-on)
* connect cable modem to router WAN port using CAT5 straight cable

If problem still exist try changing the cable to new one. If it still does not work then contact your ISP
