Preliminary analysis tells me bad smd capacitor or cold solder joint.
It finally heated up enough to fully disconnect.
The red/blue switching is indicative of the connection separating.
You're on your way to a RROD situation with continued use.
A repair from Microsoft will be around $100 unless you get the RROD - Then they will repair FREE.
All you can do for now - is try it on different TV
If that doesn't work try different connections one HDTV and one TV (make sure the thing AV cable is set for the appropriate connection).
If nothing changes try playing a game without the harddrive.
Again if that doesn't work try different cables.
If that doesn't work call microsoft and send it in. I would suggest asking for a new one.
If you dont have a second TV to try - at least disconnect the A/V cables and then reconnect to rule out a loose cable.

Repair is in your future :/

Unfortunately there is no easy end-user fix for this.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

RROD = Red Ring Of Death.

3 red lights come on around the power button - indicating the unit has overheated fatally - and microsoft is repairing those units free of charge under a massive recall.

Google RROD or Red ring of death, and you will see MANY people having this problem.

My xbox 360...shows the picture of the game n stuff but no sound of the game...wats the problem..what can i do to solve da ??

Ensure that the audio/visual plug in the back of the 360 is in all the way, and that the red and white cables are plugged in all the way. If this doesn't work, try plugging it in to a different television. If problem persists try another audio/visual cable. I suggest borrowing one first so you do not waste money if that isn't the problem.
