A rattle problem with my Oster Golden A5 Clipper!

I have an Oster Golden A5 Clipper that is almost 20 years old. I have had virtually no problems with it, but now when I attach the Size 10 blade it rattles, like it is loose. It only does that with that blade and it is the oldest one I have. If I hold it on the side it is quiet, but if I don't it rattles. I have taken it apart and re-greased it and everything looks good and the motor is strong. What are the two screw adjustments on the sides of the plastic housing for? I didn't know if these had anything to do with this problem. Do I just need to purchase a new #10 Blade?
Thank you for any help.

The screws on the side of the housing don't serve any purpose other than keeping the brush and spring in the clipper. You can send your blade in for realignment or call 800-830-3678(factory service) and they will help you with all your issues.

The two screws i believe are for your hinge assembly just make sure these are tight and the same with the two on the back of the blade.
I suspect the two ears on the clipper blade socket have moved apart allowing the blade to rattle on the clipper. You can buy the part separate if you are able to set your blades up yourself.

well the 76 and the golden a5 are almost the same the name plates are different and the 76 uses a toggle switch but the a5 uses a rocker switch. not sure about the crewmaster sorry.

Looking for switch wiring diagram for Oster Golden A5 two speed clippers..Replaceing switch and unsure of connections..

You must put the new one in exactly as the old one came out. Sorry, no diagrams unless you are an authorized dealer. Most of our repairs are common sense. No books. My husband just replaced mine today. Plus one clipper wasn't the switch as I thought, but was a broken wire in the cord near the clipper that kept shorting.

Oster Golden A5 keep turning themselves off whilst I'm clipping

Ok turn your clipper on and hold it still in one hand whilst with the other hold the cable near the end of the clipper and bend it, rotate and twist if your clipper cuts in and out you have a break in the cable which is tricky to fit but our web site Help section can help.
