Question about Canon i-SENSYS MF4140 All-In-One Laser Printer
It prints one page then stops the error light flashes red and the message 'load correct paper cassette : ltr ' appears on the LCD screen. I have tried resetting the paper size thickness etc also the manual feeder is set at a4 - help?!
I had same thing happen after a fresh Windows install. It was hard to figure out since it had been working fine until then, but luckily it is simple to fix. Open the Start Menu > Settings > Printers and Faxes folder. Then right-click on the Canon MF4100 Series printer and choose Printing Preferences. In there, change the Paper Size to Letter (instead of A4). You may also have to do this in the Print setup for whatever program you're using to print.

The problem is from Word.
Change the settings: File-Page Setup-A4 (not letter).

Happens with Mozilla Firefox (3.0.8) but not internet explorer (7.0.5..) and not with MS word 2003, for me

The problem seems to come from comparability the software creating the document and the printer. I have the same problem in printing Spread Sheet of Microsoft Works. But I do not have problems in printing Word of Microsoft Works, Notepad, Word pad or PDF file.

AFter we tried everything, the paper we bought was apparently not quality controlled and mixed with different weights of paper that caused the error. We purchased another brand and have had no problems so far...
