Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T1 Digital Camera

1 Answer

No image on Cybershot DSC-T1

After opening the lens cover in the camera or movie mode, no image shows up on the screen (black screen showing all menu items).  If the shutter is pressed, a picture is taken, but the picture is all black.  The screen works fine in the playback mode and shows all pictures taken before this problem occurred.

same as described above, one day it was working fine, and the next it opened up and turned it on, and the screen remained black. you could see all the setting and such, but not the picture you were attempting to take, nor does it allow you to view the screen when trying to make a video ... or when you put it in review

    Same as davinci588's description.

Does camera show stored picture in memory stick in playback mode?
If it shows and does not give live view in camera mode to take fresh pictures then it is ccd imager chip failure problem.

That is because you have arrived back at the 'setup'.Remove your battery and memory card for two minutes, then put them back. Then select 'menu' and setup the camera again, entering the date etc. I am assuming that your battery is charged.
