Question about Cisco 7940G IP Phone
I've got a Cisco 7960G IP Phone setup to use Asterisk 1.4. I'm trying to change the firmware to SIP 3-8-6-00. I've setup my DHCP server and it's giving out the IP address to the phone. However, the phone doesn't boot completely and all I see is defaulting CM to TFTP Server. Also, I noticed that in the settings on the phone, my TFTP server address is in the CM Address field. Any help?
Try to manually reset the phone - **#"Settings" (this will unlock the configuration) + Network + menu under number "33" - erase the configuration. Then the phone configuration will be erased. Also you can manually set IP address and TFTP server
