Too much noise from the motor, can we replace for a quiet one?

Attn: Customer Service,

We have a Maax, Agora whirlpool and air massage combination tub with an electronic variable speed pump. It currently has a Gimini Plus model #R100-cc, Spec #0005E00cc motor on it. We need to replace the existing motor for a quieter one [it works but it’s way too noisy]. What would you suggest for an easy replacement and installation?

NOTE--We have a bed and breakfast and it is important to get the quietest motor possible. The current controls have a variable speed capacity but if we could use the same control panel but with a simple on and off operation that would be our preference.

Please contact my husband Paul Antozak, a licensed builder, to discuss possibilities @ 616.560.1469.

We also have that tub and the motors are blown on the pump. Did you ever replace the motor? I can't find anyone who carries these pumps anymore as they're discontinued. Does anyone know of anything that will work in replacement? Please let me know if you have any information. 203-395-5868 Thanks Ferdy

Unfortunately I have yet to see a "quite" motor for a jetted tub. The only soultion I have found for the noise is to use rigid or fiberglass insulation on the inside of the tub platform. Care needs to be taken so as to not block the back of the pumps or blower, this will restrict airflow and cause damage to pumps/blowers.

Can't turn on Whirlpool

Air Switch Repair
It sounds like you have a bad air switch located in your motor.
The air switch is what the air hose connects to on the back of the motor or on the box on top of the motor. The other end of the air hose is connected to the air button on the lip of the tub.
This is a latching air switch and when you push the air button it latches to send power to the motor. When the air button is pushed again it opens the latch in the air switch and stops power going to the motor shutting it off.

Aerofeel does not work on maax tub model 105359-055

I asked the same question to the tech guy at customer service and he said no, because the water detector switch is actually a density switch, so the temperature really doesn't matter. The tub just has to be filed with water.

Maax Hydro massage bathtub Model 05-001, electric motor hums but does not turn, what is the fix?

If your pump is just humming this is an indication of a bad motor. You will need to provide the name of the pump and a model number to the supplier so they can match up the exact replacement for you so you won't have to re-plumb to put it back in.

Cold air blowing into Maax Velvet 6032 Bubble Tub

The air coming from the blower will be cool, but should not be cold. Turn on the blower or bubbler feature (no water necessary) and go to the access panel ( as specified by install instructions), reach in and feel the tube connected to the blower, the tube should be warm, if not the heater coil is not working and the blower assembly needs to be replaced.
