Re: not playing

Try connecting it to the computer without the battery. If it shows up, format it. My Computer>Sansa c150>Right click and select format. If that doesnt work, you will need to call Technical Support for a firmware "rollback". SanDisk Technical Support 1-866-726-3475 Best of Luck.

My player screen blackout. Got power and can listen to the song but no screen.

Welcome to Fixya. If the mp3 player is still playing the audio, it means that the mp3 is working fine. The problem that you have is that the LCD or the display of the Mp3 is bad. You can check the warranty of the device so that so can send it to repair or replacement free of charge,

My ipod nano screen is white and when I try to reset by pressing the menu and select buttons it just goes dark. What do I do??

Welcome to Fixya

Looks like the software just hanged-up on you. Try to reset the Ipod by following the procedures below.

1st option:
Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for 10 seconds (until the Apple logo appears).
You may need to repeat the reset several times.
If the reset doesn't help, then put the iPod into forced disk mode.

2nd option (Disk Mode):
Plug the iPod into a high-powered USB port, let it sit for 2 hours, then disconnect it. If you have a wall charger, plug in the iPod, then follow these steps while it is still plugged in.
Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears
Immediately switch your figures to press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until "Disk Mode" appears at the top.
For a lot of people, this solves the problem. Connect the iPod to the computer and (assuming it shows up) reset the iPod again to get it out of Disk Mode. If at this point you still have the white screen, restore the iPod using the restore function in iTunes under the Summary tab (this will erase everything on the iPod and put it at factory settings).
Note: Do not disconnect or eject the iPod until the store is totally done. After you think it's done, wait another five minutes.

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

"Firmware Problem" on screen

Before turning it on, press and hold the play/pause button and turn it on simultaneously. A screen should come up with four options. Go to the one that says reload firmware and select it. Please note that doing this will erase all of the music and other stuff off of your player, so back it up. If after you reload firmware it and it still does not work, you can go here to get a new firmware update from this site which should make your player work:

My mp3 frozen on the welcome screen and restart and freeze again

First reset the Sansa e260. The way you do this is you hold down the power (menu) button for 15-25 seconds. This usually solves it.

Good Luck,

My ipod nano has a white screen

Try this - it at least seems to have fixed the same problem, at least for now, with my 2nd generation Nano:

1. When you see the white screen, hold down both the Play and Select buttons together, pressing the Play button a little bit before the Select button.
2. When the white screen goes to black, release the two buttons almost simultaneously with the Select button released slightly before the Play button.
3. Hopefully, if done with the right timing, you should get your normal screen back. If not, try switching the Hold on and off or changing the starting mode by listening through headphones to see if it is playing or not.
4. Once you have recovered the screen, plug it into your computer to sync without turning it off and perform a complete sync. After I did this my Nano stayed in the normal screen mode. Before I had done this step, it kept reverting to the white screen.

One more thing to try if this still doesn't work is to first try restoring the Nano completely through iTunes.

I'll be interested to hear whether my solution works for anyone else.

try doing this and let me know if it goes into recovery mode
1. with mp3 off slide the hold button to on so it locks
2.hold down record button on left hand side and keep held down
3. whilst holding record turn mp3 on still hold down record it should now be in recovery mode if your mp3 player gets this far then it can be fixed.
Once in recovery mode goto sandisk site and you need to goto downloads and download latest firmware for your make and model once downloaded it will talk you through how to istall this onto your mp3 player if you have any problems let me know ok
