My hotpoint washer has quit spinning all the water out of the clothes. Drum still spins but you can feel it hitting the sides of the machine as it goes around. What do I need to do to fix this?

THE DRUM SPINNING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MACHINE NOT EMPTYING..........
there is a seperate pump at the back of the machine....just follow the waste hose.........it may be blocked inside a small coin is perfect to clock it.........just clear it and see if it works..........

I have a hotpoint wm54 and it is not rinsing or spinning properly, at the end of the cycle the clothes are dripping wet & soapy, however if i manually put on to rinse and spin it seems to work!

You need to check and clean the pump filter.
Remove rear panel od washer, locate and remove large black hose on bottom of drum, remove and clean filter inside the hose.

The machine doesnt spin with clothes in it

Could be a blocked filter, or worn brushes in the motor.
To check filter, remove lower rear panel of washer.
Remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum
Remove and clean filter inside trhe hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for obstruction or blockage here.
To check the carbons remove motor from washer, and the carbons are located at the oppsite end to the motor pulley.
Hope this helps.

Hotpoint WD63 not spinning correctly

Two things to check.
Remove rear cover.
Remove large black hose onto drum
Remove and clean filter inside hose.

Next--remove top cover and check the brushes in the motor, if they are less than 3 or 4 mm long, then replace them.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

THERE IS A CLEAR HOSE THAT CAME OFF AT ONE END DURING A SPIN CYCLE. I NEED A DIAGRAM SHOWING WHERE IT HOOKS.

Model number please.
The clear hose goes to the water level switch in the control console and to the air dome on the side of the wash tub.
If you run the machine without replacing it correctly you will flood your laundry room.

Clothes still too wet after complete cycle

I would suggest that the filter wants cleaning.
To access it, remover lower rear panel of washer.
Locate and remove the large black hose on to the tub.
Be careful, as there will be water in the hose.
Remove and clean plastic filter inside hose.
Refit hose and filter..
I would also suggest that you remove motor and check the brushes for wear, whilst you have the rear panel off.

If there is less than 10mm showing, then they need replacing..
Please leave a rating for my fixya solution.
Thanks.

Kenmore 44092/spin cycle

It turns out that there was a sock stuck within the pump in the washing machine. I removed the back cover and removed all the excess water, because once the sock was removed, the water was free to escape. I just removed the hose that connects to the pump and felt the sock, and was able to remove it. Once I hooked everything back up, the washing machine ran great.

Load remains wet after full cycle (including spin @ 1400 rpm)

Hi Paul, Assuming it is pumping out ok, Unplug the machine tip it back at an angle, underneath you will see a black hose that is attached to the bottom of the drum, remove this, take out the ball and discard it and remove anything that may be in the filter, replace the hose and try the machine.
