Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

Need help it won't download or repair from pc

At startup says not enough space for music DB...must free up 6 MB of space. It has songs on it, but it won't play or even show them. Then when i connect it to the computer it says hi speed usb device attached to speed hub. It won't show up in my computer either.

If it doesnt connect to the computer, you are going to have to format it to remove some of the music on it. Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted. You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool. - Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds) - Slide the hold switch into "hold" position. - Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer. Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted. Best of Luck.

Not enough space for music db. Please free 6 MB.

If you have formatted there is no music on the player. You will have to re-sync any the music. Set the USB mode to MTP, then Use Windows Media Player 10 or higher to sync player.

MP3 needs to refresh DataBase?

You have to many songs a sansa e 250 only holds a certain amount of space so your best bet is to buy a memory card or delete songs so you can add new ones.

No music

clear 6 mb, it needs at least 6 megabytes on the thing to create the list of playable music on it.

The Music DB refers to the Music Database, or the Artist, Album, and Song info.

The error means your device is too full. It needs some free space on the device to create this information.

Connect your device to the PC and manually delete some files from it in My Computer>Device Name (m240)>MUSIC Folder.

It needs 6MB of free space, so you may need to delete several songs.

Disconnect the device from the PC, it should restart and you should be ok. If the message continues, keep deleting files until its gone,

Everything is wiped out and so is the radio! Please help !!

The Music DB refers to the information (i.e. - Artist, Album, etc.).

The device need you to free up 6MB so it can create this.

Connect the device to the PC and delete several songs until you have at least 6MB free.

Disconnect it, restart, and youre all set.

Music DB??? clear 6 MB???

Have you tried re-formatting the device?  This will "wipe" memory, getting rid of corrupted files, etc. and should restore use.

You need to remove some music from the device. It needs at least 6mb to create the database. You can either format the device to remover everything. My Computer, right click on the device and select format. Or, open the device and manually remove a few songs. Restart the device and see if the issue is resolved.
