Question about LG VOYAGER VX10000 Cellular Phone

Battery doesn't last

I purchased my new cell phone two days ago. LG Voyager. As of today, I am so disappointed with my new phone! I can't wait to go back to the store (my agent) to see what is going on with this phone.

Twice since I have had this phone, I have fully charged the battery. I have not been able to call out with this phone more than once, my text messages will not go through, and I try to call my voice mail, which says two new messages and it will not go through. Today, once again, the battery is fully drained, and I haven't even talked or texted on the phone. I have actually opened it up maybe six times today, and no battery. (zero bars). I am so disappointed since my other cell phone, a motorolla V555, had excellent reception and battery life! Do I have a lemon, or what could be wrong??????

Also.....I got this phone because my cell company sold to Verizon and my current phone (the motorolla) they said would not work after May something. My cell number was ported over.

I appreciate any comments or suggestions.

    Thank you, for your feed back. I have since found out that...guess what....my section (a small area on this route) is a dead zone for verizon....if I get out of the area, the phone works great, which is no help when I want to use it at home. Afraid I am locked into a contract too...but my agent keeps telling me that Verizon is going to do something to the tower, whatever!!! Meanwhile....I am bummed, but I think the phone is fine. No service means if the phone is left on, it is constantly searching for a tower. Will not even pick up extended network from home!

    Thank you very much for the suggestion, I was thinking the very same thing. I do know that US Cellular has good service in my area. I guess I thought Verizon would be the same as our other cell company since they bought them out...(Unicel)....We could call and text with no problem before Verizon took over this particular area. Thank you very much.

You have a lemon. Make them give you a replacement. I only have to charge my phone once a week at most. My reception is great. I haven't had any issues with my phone at all.

    Most cell phone companies will let you out of your contract without a cancellation fee if they cannot provide you with service in your home area. I would contact Verizon and demand to speak with a supervisor and see if they will let you out of your contract without a fee because they cannot provide you service in your home area. If they won't, I would file a complaint with the attorney general with your state. I wouldn't pay for service for 2 years when you can't use it at home. I went through this same thing with Sprint and was able to cancel.

When using the lg Voyager I can hear the person on the other line but they cant hear me .


Try this:
Remove the battery.
Hold power button for 10 seconds while battery is out to fully discharge the power.
Replace battery and reboot phone.

If the microphone still does not work then it would appear that your microphone has broken. You will either need to take your phone to a qualified LG repair place or purchase a new phone.

LG Voyager VX1000 no longer recognizes Bluetooth device. 2007 phone, was fine until 2 weeks ago!


Same thing happened with my Voyager. I took the battery out for a couple of minutes, put it back in and Bluetoothis now working again.

How to take apart the LG Versa to dry out moisture behind the touch screen. It went through the washing machine, appears to work otherwise though


I would not try and remove any backing or covers off cell phones. I dropped my cell in the lake a couple of years ago. I took the battery out and laid the phoone and battery on my dash for a couple of days and this baked out all the moisture. the phone still works today!!

the batterys are defective maybe or the devices , go into verizon they are usually very helpfull and will replace them

LG mobile phone switches itself off & requires recharging DAILY!


yur phone has an expandable memory upto 8gb.. phones like these do have software problems cuz of more usage and yu try to access fast but yu ll have to wait till an application opens.. and yu have a taktim of 3hours whic means the battery is not too gud..
yu will have to be patient a wile in using yur phone wile opening any application.. so that it doesn hang much and doesn get switche off often.tank yu..

I don't know if this will work for sure but when that happened to be a few days ago my keys didn't work either but i took my Battery out and dried them both off for 2 minutes on warm and cold and cool if that doesnt work i don't know what to tell you

LG VX8550 will not power up


you should take the phone to a mobile service center and have them try to fix the phone for you....your mainboard may have to much corrosion on the mainboard.
