I have my texas instruments TI-86 calculator, but i'm making my homework and i don't know how to do make functions on the calculator i need to know how to do it.

I think you should get a Texas Instruments calculator and push the 'y=' button then put the equation like '2x+4' in the y1 area. You can put the X by using the variable botton. I hope my english makes sense I am not a native speaker.

TI-86 Calculator Problem

Most likely you're trying to graph a function while you have the stat plot turned on. Turn off the stat plot and try it again.

Broken screen

I don't know that you can replace the screen, but you can download a TI emulator that will let you load you 86's ROM onto your computer and use it on your computer screen.
