It just snaps in place.

If you are handy you can remove the ice maker, then the white cover then the four screws and try to reinsert the arm in to the toggle switch ,probably disconnected or broke on the inside, If not you should probably just replace it ,they are about 60$ at lowes and fairly easy to install.

There is a water line leading to the icemaker. The line should have a water filter in it. The filter can get plugged. Also on the maker should be a bar that you should be able to lift up and hear the water enter the machine. You can use a meter and tester power to the icemaker

Generally a filter is a add on feature. If you do not see a filter in the water line that supplies the ice maker then there is generally not a filter. You can purchase a water filter from any local hardware store and install it yourself.

The fill line internal to the freezer is likely frozen up from the elbow inward.. When the icemaker calls for fill...pressure builds up on the plastic tubing causing it to pop out of the elbow. Check the tube inside the freezer by removing icemaker and running a long thin screwdriver or a rigid wire up into the tube until you feel ice or the plastic elbow outside.

Clear ice, if present, by squeezing hot water in from freezer side with turkey baster until cleared and water comes out back.

hmmm, the only really way you will know if your water valve is working for the door is to jump it direct. unplug the machine get the valve out un do the line that goes to the door to the valve put a glass under the valve and jump it... if water then you have a door/control board issue.... no water than u need to replace water valve.
