Whole screen flashes to yellow/greenish, no picture

It started with black horizontal line accross the center of screen. Then started flashing between yelloy/green-ish blank screen and TV program. does same with DVD. It is constant Yellow/green-ish screen now with horizontal split screen. Picture flashes ever so often.
I switched satelite recievers and DVD players, all give same results.
Is this total fauilure or can it be repaired ?

What I'm wanting to know is if a 4yr. old plasma is repairable or at it's end of life?
With no input cables at all connected it shows a grey screen with flashes of fuzzy yellowish at corners with a burn-in of
satelite menu faintly showing in this fuzz.It is now a solid grey, no corner fuzz.
the grey screen is lighter than the off power screen.

It sounds like a bad sustain board. The sustain boards (Ysus Xsus) must be tested and replaced.

Hello frnklnstrng,

One cause of this is improper control setting, local interferences, cable interconnections, Input impedance is not correct level. Another consideration is incorrect 15 PIN connector pin connections.

- I hope that the information provided above would help resolve the problem. Please feel free to contact me again if you will require further assistance. thanks

TV quits working, screen goes black and red light next to power green light flashes 4 quick flashes . After a second or two of no flashing, red light repeats "code" flash. We pull the power plug at the TV,...

The Sony diagnostic routine for 4 blinks indicates it to be a vertical deflection problem.

Did you see a solid horizontal line in the center of the screen prior to it going out? If so, that is a tell tale sign for vertical problems.

basic sony reset below

The STANDBY light will flash if the television detects an issue within the television. Some of these issues can be resolved simply by following the steps below to reset the television.

  1. Turn off the television. IMPORTANT: For a projection television that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off the television to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.
  2. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
  5. Turn on the television.

If the issue is still unresolved after following all of the troubleshooting steps, service may be required. Please note the number of times the STANDBY light flashes and relay that information to the service center

I have a Samsung DLP HLN 5065W and recently the TV started to get Horizontal Lines in it with a 2 inch black horizontal line across the TV and the bottom half you could see the picture and the top half...

If your TV looks 3D, warped, or distorted it likely has a convergenge problem.
If however it just looks dull, washed out, redish, greenish, or blueish or if it looks like objects on the screen have halos the fluid in the lens has soured.
You can search google for parts or you can get the parts with repair instructions from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com

White areas in the image are yellow and the black are blue-green

you have a few issues. first is the yellow in white. the light filter on the blue lcd panel is fried due to excessive dust and heat. unfortunately, you may have to replace the whole optical engine. as for the flashing horizontal lines, the power supply isn't cooling down and the caps are drying out, causing fluctuations in voltage. so, replace the power supply.

Horizontal lines

Try a hard reset of camera electronics. Canon may have a hidden code to do this with. Suspect your electronics are fubar and you may have to go shopping since repair is not cost effective. Shame - good camera.

I have a black line accross my LCD t.v. screen

if it is a thin black line then it is probably a line of pixels out. if this is the case, the whole screen will have to be replaced and that can get pricey. i would suggest that you get it checked out by a tv tech and get an estimate, but it'll probably be cheaper to just get a new one

Line accross top of the screen with flashing black and white boxes

Thin white dashes on top of screen is PERFECTLY NORMAL. It is nothing wrong with the TV, it is the broadcast. What you are seeing is the very bottom of the timecode running. It doesn't happen all of the time or all channels. It usually happens with old 4:3 commercials predating "Digital TV." This is mentioned in your Users Manual. You should be able to adjust the horizontal/vertical position in the menu settings.
