Question about Ovens
I have a built-in 1951/52 Ultramatic wall unit which is in pristine condition except for the broiler unit. Apparently, it was rarely used by the previous home owner and when I try to open the drawer to try to use it, the drawer is frozen-up. They even left the original manual for the stove and oven! These instructions state that I should remove the outer broiler door (which I can do with no problem) and to ''release trigger'' and slide unit out. I see no ''trigger'' which they refer to. The picture looks similar to the ''handle'' that one pulls up to release and remove the oven floor, but the only thing in the broiler is a slot-shaped hole. I would like to remove the unit so I can lubricate the runners and actually use the broiler. And it would sure help with lighting the pilot light since the ''button'' is located between the broiler drawer and the oven/broiler wall. What a PAIN! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

is it electronic iginition? are you asking about top burner pilots? if so there are under the top in the middle beteen each side of the burners 1 pilot does burners on right and 1 on left. oven pilots are underneath you have to remove bottom door look in there at back and look up and you'll see it. if its a electronis ignition range you have no pilots!! glow coils and sparkers....
