Try removing the battery. If the device shows up try to format it under my computer. My Computer, right click on the device and select format. Best of Luck.

My computer won't recognize my Sansa mp3 in order to download

If you have a main menu on your Sandisk Sansa player, Choose Settings, and make sure you have the correct USB setting selected.
If you Use Windows Media Player 10, choose auto-detect.
If you use Windows Media Player 9 or earlier, choose MSC.

System is not searching the player

ok.i have the solution for you...go to CONTROL PANEL after to DEVICE MANAGER but keep your device conected ,,it will detect your device like herror just delete it and desconect your device and conect it again and follow the steps..good luck.

turn on your sansa player. (don't plug into to computer yet)
Click Menu
Scroll through using down area till you get to SETTINGS.
Click down till you see USB.
Choose auto detect for Windows Media Player 10.
Choose MSC if you have Windows Media Player 9 or earlier.
Good luck.

How do you dowload music on a sansa shaker chip

connect the sansa via usb to the computer and copy your music to the device once acknowleged by the computer.
