Question about Grilling
I was given a cadac easy chef for christmas and have used it less than 6 times. When I tried to light it last week I could not get it to work. I stripped it all down as I could hear the gas and smell it coming through. When I took off all the pipes and the base plate (underneath the legs)I could see a blue piece of plastic in the shape of a funnel in the tube .I did manage to remove this but not sure what its for. I have not tried to light again without this 'bit' just in case it is some sort of safety device.
The blue tube is the air baffle, it should be in there but the people at cadac told me it will work safely without it. this baffle has been known to melt on occasions, i phoned cadac and they sent me out a new one free of charge. dont know why yours wont light though. mine produces a yellow flame instead of a blue flame?
