I have a paper jam, and when I turn it on it is making a loud noise. Can I fix it?

Yes, try to open the door from where you insert cartridge. And try to remove the cartridge.

You should see the paper behind the cartridge loading place. Remove the paper. Make sure it is completely remove. Restart your printer.

Canon Pixma MP780 makes a loud clicking noise. No paper jammed anywhere. It seems to be the gears where the cartridges are.

i have th same exact problem, just took much of it apart, bu still cant see why it makes the loud noise, also I cant switch paper feed to back, which at least would allow it to print from there... please let me know if you find a solution.

I have an epson stylus cx6000, after I put in a new ink cartiage it started making a loud grinding noise an now it won't print.

Sounds like a cartridge jam. Remove the cartridges and look at the carriage path. Make sure there is no paper or anything else in the way.

When I go to print or copy the machine makes a loud clicking noise and then says paper jam. Brother MFC - 8460 N

Hello,
The loud clicking noise is either the toner cartridge or the paper feed. If the jam occurs in the drum and toner cartridge then I recommend changing the toner.
If the paper is not being fed at all then you need to have the paper feed kit replaced.
Thanks,
Pat

How do I fix a cartride jam?

Have you tried
(1) running "print clean" or something like that?. (If you don't know how to do that, check your manual).
(2) Removing cartridge/s and installing again?
(3) Cleaning head by dabbing lightly with Q-tip in isopropyl alcohol?

Other possible solutions depend on answers.

Cartridge jam

The clicking noise is usually the clean station plugged with old thick ink. You need to dig your way down to the clean station wash it out completely, and also clean the encoder strip. usually a shop repair.

Dell 942 carrier jam

This morning I replaced the cartridges in the Dell 942 printer, they jammed to the left which made a loud grinding noise and the cartridge jam error came on.

I solved the problem by turning the printer on with the top up which moved the cartridges to the right a little so I could reach back, push one down a little manually which freed them to move over to the middle.
