I changed my batteries then I put my security CD in and my system was working fine. Then later, my system froze and an error message SECURITY 00000000 appeared.
I put my CD in again and nothing happened. I can listen to my CD but that's it. I can't even change the volume.
I then press the reset button, then the message changed to SECURITY 7B500861
I can still silten to my CD and that's it. I can't even change the volume, but I can move to the next song.
I changed the engine in my Corvette.........................Well, I have the CD8443, for 5 years no problem. Now I have called, 1-800-233-2216 and was told that for a $25.00 fee to unlock the code" 7B900950", which is the serial # for this unit. (DB900950) Each time you lose power to this unit, you'll need to 'unlock it'. They've got me twice!! THANKS MR. ECLIPSE!!

I have bought a new car, toyota vitz, in which there is a radio-eclipse UCNV884RE model. The radio cannot play any cd or dvd, it can only be open and close and also want to change its language from japanese to english. Please help.
You need the security code to reactivate it. If you havent got that hten try your local dealership. If still no go the stereo is useless....its an ant-theft device. If a garage changed the battery I would put it to them to fix / replace. If you did it then you are basically in for replacement stereo!!!
yeah you have to either contact the person you got it from because they should know the key to it. the key is a cd actually and it has to be the same cd that they used too not just a copy of it. you have to hold the number 6 button and the function button bellow it and it will SEC for a second i think and then itll say disc and you have to put that disc in, otherwise if you cant get the cd they used you have to call this number 1 800 233 2216 itll be automated, listen to all that **** about if you know your parties extention blah blah blah then you hit the number five and youll get another recording, the hit number one. after that youll get a person to talk to actually and ask them to direct you to technical support and the person will tell you to take out the cd player and look underneath it for the serial number on it but leaving it still on and the guy will be able to unlock it over the phone. i just had to do that the other day hope that helps
The stereo's ESN Feature has activated. High-end Eclipse stereo's have a feature to prevent theft where if the battery is disconnected from the stereo, it must be "unlocked" with a "key" CD, that comes with the CD player but can later be changed to a personal CD of the owner. You would need to either call Eclipse and see if they can de-activate it (you'll need to ship it to them, if they even do it, because it is a security feature after all.) Or you need to talk to the last owner of the vehicle and have them unlock it.
The security CD is the 1st CD you put in after reset.
For example: If you go to the shop and have the radio reset. On the way home you put in Jimi Hendrix, that CD becomes your security CD.
You better have that CD the next time you change your battery, or you'll be going back to the shop to have your radio reset.
