Question about Clarion DXZ445 RB Car CD Player with Remote Control (Factory Refurbished)

CD is stuck

I press the eject button and I hear clicking for about 5 seconds while the CD moves and fails to come out. Then the CD won't play. If I take the faceplate off and then put it back, however, the CD will play like normal. Is this something I could fix myself, or is it best to take it to a dealer?

Re: CD is stuck

get a wetwipe and a very thing ruler. wrap the wetwipe around the ruler and gently ease the ruler into the cd slot and move it from left to right. slowly and be sure that it does not tear off any of the wetwipe.

remove the ruler (wetwipe still attached *we hope* ) leave to dry for a few min's before inserting your cd.

Re: CD is stuck

Take it to a repair shop. The pinch rollers are worn out and need to be re-alligned or replaced.

When i press the eject button it comes in the angle position but it does not flip down for me to play a cd.

Did you press the button briefly or did you hold it for a few seconds. To eject just press the button quickly. Pressing it for a few seconds is tilt.

There is a cd stuck in my cd player, how can I get it out?

Try pressing the reset button. This sometimes helps eject the disc. If not i have found that by holding a second disc slightly above the stuck cd and very gently pressing down on the stuck cd, it can help eject the stuck disc. DO NOT INSERT A SECOND DISC. there is also a possibilty that the ejecting mechanisim is broken in that case taking in to the repair man would be the wise choice.

We just bought a new cd and it's stuck in the car stereo

Hi there,
If you like you can read throuh the manual for further help if this fails,
at this address :

However the units have a forcible eject mode, im raking my brain for it but i think 90%  sure its as follows...
Try pressing and holding eject and the power button at the same time for about three to five seconds, the machine shoudl buzz louder then normal an do a full eject cycle for about 2 seconds,
If worse comes to worse you can take off the outer casing  four screws (if not under warranty) and carefully lift the disc slightly and slide it out. Take care to to force anything as you can damage/scratch the unit.
Another option is that you ring the Kenwwod customer service number and ask how them what the button press combination is for forcibly ejecting cds from the unit. you may need to ask for someone in repairs there to get a knowlegable answer,
Hope this helps

Kenwood KDC-119 car stereo problem

There is a small hole at the bottom of the stereo face that will reset the system. I pushed a pen tip into the hole and it turned the stereo off. When I removed the pen, the system turned on and the CD ejected. Problem solved.
