Question about Maytag Neptune MDG5500AW Gas Dryer
My Maytag neptune dryer takes a longer time to dry clothes lately. I suspect that there is a lot of lint in way of exhaust air and prevent the sensor/thermostat to function properly. I would like to check but I don't know how to open the front panel of the machine.
I really need help on this one.
Remove the rear connecting vent and run a 45 minute timed dry load. If it works correctly repair the connecting vent and or blockage in the wall.
If this does not correct the problem make sure the glow bar is cycling at the gas valve and report back for further repair.

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.
