Question about Baby Lock Imagine
Automatic threader does not take the thread all the way through, It takes it to the place where I can see a space between the tubes. I wonder if I am doing something wrong, such as using the wrong thread.
The tubes that the thread pass through may be dirty or misaligned. Another option is the pumping mechanism may be leaking causing a poor air flow. With your machine came a fine twisted wire to use as a threader. With the tube aligned and no thread in them pass the wire threader through the tubes to make sure they line up. If this works you can pull a larger thread such as serger yarn or woolly nylon to swab out the tubes.
To check if the pump is leaking you can switch the lever for the upper and lower looper between the two positions. This will block the valve. As you push the pump lever it should feel stiff. If it slowly looses pressure you may need a new piston in the pump.
You may need an expert if the upper and lower loopers do not align with the tubes.

Open the front cover and raise presser foot to release all threads. Depress the machine lock button firmly with your left index finger. At the same time manually rotate the machine hand wheel slowly forward until he button "snaps" into the locked position and the lock button release lever moves to the far left.
