I'm trying to change the resolution or dpi on my camera. Currently all pictures I take are 72dpi and I'm trying to submit pictures to a book publisher that are requesting a minimum of 300 dpi. How do I change this on my camera settings?

is it the fact you cant do it or it wont let you? if you dont know how,

turn on the camrea
press the menu/set key
press the right key on quality
then press up once to get to 1600x1200
press twice to get to 2304x1704
then press right to set
this will then save the setting and go back to the previous menu
