If the cpu was bad- nothing would turn on--be sure the cable is good-- also be sure the VGA is enabled in the bios- since you cant see the video you have to reset the cmos setting--unplug the unit and remove the cmos battery-reinstall after one minute and check for video

Ultra m923 mid-tower case won't stop beeping

The problem is the board on the case's display. It has temp alarms for your components(video card, hdd, cpu), there are temp probes for you to set so you can monitor these temps. However the board that controls these functions, or at least mine and many others I have read about, is defective. It will change display constantly and sometimes have garbage display. It is setting its own limits for what is considered a hi temperature. The limit it has set for one of your components is < room temperature so it thinks you are having an overheating problem. You can manually set the limit for overheat and it will fix it for a while, but it will prob happen again.

The motherboard the shut down when switched on

Check heatsink/fan for CPU first. If this is Ok then try a new power supply.

No beeps on boot up with asrock mobo? help plz

While booting BOIS goes for POST check for detecting the all the hardware .

Disconnect all the connection to DVD, HDD, FDD from MOBO.
Rmove all RAM and start the ssytem from testing RAM Serviceability. If you listened a long intermittent beep place a single pices of RAM in MOBO ( repeat test with other RAM also).

Other wise your video card is unserviceable, if you have any addon plugins like NVIDA graphics card you can check

Fans runs but no post,no beeps.

The best advice I can give you is to remove the motherboard battery (UNPLUG THE PSU BEFORE YOU WORK ON THE MOTHERBOARD) and let the system sit for about an hour. If the CMOS settings are corrupted, removing the battery will erase the corrupted data in the CMOS, which will automatically reset the CMOS to the default settings... Then, plug the battery back into the motherboard, and try to boot the system...

If that doesn't work, you should disconnect EVERYTHING attached to the PSU, and remove ALL of the add-in cards (modem, NIC, soundcard, TV tuner, whatever you have), and install ONLY the CPU, the heatsink/fan (don't forget to PLUG THE CPU FAN IN), ONE stick of RAM... you get the idea. DISCONNECT the HDD, the FDD, the optical drive, and ANYTHING ELSE from the PSU. When you're ready to test the system, you should have ONLY the CPU, the HSF, and one DIMM plugged into the motherboard. Attach the PSU connectors (both the main ATX connector AND the auxiliary 4-pin 12-volt connector) to the motherboard, and try to boot the system. If it works, SHUT DOWN and UNPLUG THE PSU; then install ONE component (the floppy drive, for example), reattach the PSU, and reboot the system. If the system POSTs, shut down, unplug, and add another device. If the system does NOT complete the POST process, the last piece of hardware you installed is probably the culprit.

Take your time with this; be methodical, and make GOOD notes about the steps you've followed, so we can help you work through this problem...

Best of luck to you; keep us "posted" on your progress...
