    1. Perform a partial reset on the printer. To do this first remove the power supply from the back of the printer. With the power off press and hold the # and 3 keys.

    2. Plug the power back into the printer, keep holding the # and 3 keys till you see “ Partial Reset ” displayed on the printer screen.

    3. If that does not work, do the same but press and hold the # and 6 keys

Do you mean that it has no power?

If the unit initializes, what is on the lcd screen?

Do you mean it will not print?

Do you mean that the PC does not acknowledge it?

    Please clarify...

Read this from a previous post:

I had the same issue with an HP Officejet 7310 AIO Printer/Fax/Scanner and after being told it was a hardware issue that couldn't be repaired... I fixed it! It was displaying a blue screen (of death), the error code 00000020 and an icon that matched the icon on the ON button. I also had a red camera icon flashing near the photo/memory stick slot. It seemed to be frozen - I couldn't even turn it off... and after trying the usual unplug, wait, and plug back in method, nothing changed. I called tech HP support and they suggested unplugging it, holding #6, and plugging it back in. When that didn't work I was told it was fried and I'd have to buy a new one. Mine rarely gets used, so I wasn't too happy AND this is the second HP AIO that I've own - the first one supposedly died after just two years - now I have to wonder because I actually fixed mine!
I'm not 100% sure how, but I started stabbing at the ON and # buttons - actually toggling back and forth in anger - and it rebooted! I couldn't believe it! Here' the thing, I'm 99.9% sure I was toggling very quickly between ON and #, but I think I also tried toggling between # and 6 as well, so I'm not sure which one did the trick, or it it was a combination of both, but it's functioning perfectly. Day three of business as usual and so far - so good.
I'd like know if this works for anyone else. Good luck! I was ready to bite the bullet and buy a new one... I'm so glad my anger got the best of me first.

    Try it this way:

    Re-initialize the HP all-in-one

Force the HP all-in-one to reinitialize by following the steps below:

    1. Turn the unit off by pressing the ON button.

    2. Disconnect the power cord.

    3. Wait five seconds, then reconnect the power cord.

    4. but before plugging the unit back in, press and hold the # and 6 keys on the HP all-in-one numeric keypad. Continue to hold these keys down for a few seconds after plugging the unit back in to reset it. Once the all-in-one re-establishes communication with the computer, reset the language and country.

If you mean that the screen stays stuck in the boot-up mode, try this partial soltion; it's worked for nearly everone who's tried it. Unfortunantly, you lose your wireless capabilities, but at leat you're not left with a $500 paper weight:

(It's interesting that the majority of posts with this issue have occured on numerous sites during the last two months).

Additionally, all faxes stored in memory are cleared.
1. Turn off the product.
2. Press and hold both the down arrow button and the Cancel button, and then turn on the product.

Scan says all channels locked out

Please try this,

If the scanner's display locks up or does not work properly after you connect a power source, you might need to reset or initialize it. If you have problems with the scanner, first try to reset it to retain the memory. Warning: Initializing the scanner will clear all channel memories and reverts it the state it was in right out of the box.To Initialize the scanner, turn off the scanner then turn it back on. Press 0 when the welcome screen appears. 'Please select factory tests. Exit if no key is pressed' will briefly appear. Then quickly press 1. 'Initialization clear all memory Enter to confirm Clear to exit' will briefly appear. Quickly press ENT to initialize. 'Initializing, Please stand by' then appears. Do not turn off the scanner while it is initializing. The display should then show M000 on the top line and Bank 0 CH 00 when finished.

Hope that helps!!
Happy Scanning

I have a printer it is modle is Hp LaserJet p4015n, when i start it give me this error: (49.00FF ERROR To continue turn off then on). when I turn off then on it give me agane this error. thanks for help,...

HP 4015 NVRAM & hardrive initialization

Solution
A hard disk initialization will erase and reformat the printer's hard disk. Perform hard disk initialization only if an error code displays on the control panel indicating a disk error. Always try initializing the hard disk before replacing it.

1. Turn the printer on.
2. As the printer performs its power-on sequence, press and hold the Menu button until all three lights on the control panel are lit.
3. Press the back arrow . The message INITIALIZE DISK displays on the control panel.
4. Press OK. The printer initializes the hard disk and continues the power-on sequence.

CAUTION: Initializing NVRAM resets the serial number, the model number, the event log, the page counts, and the EIO card. Use the SERVICE menu to restore the serial number and page counts. You also need to reconfigure any computers that print to this printer to recognize the printer. Initialize NVRAM only when absolutely necessary. In most situations, use a cold reset to return printer to factory defaults but still retain the needed values in the SERVICE menu.

 NVRAM initialization
Before initializing NVRAM, print a configuration page and a supplies status page to gather the service menu values

1. Turn the printer on and watch the control panel display.
2. When the display shows the memory count, press and hold the down arrow until all three lights on the control panel are lit
3. Press the up arrow .
4. Press Menu . The message SKIP DISK LOAD displays on the control panel.
5. Press the up arrow until NVRAM INIT is highlighted, and then press OK. The printer initializes NVRAM and then continues its power-on sequence.

daca aceasta procedura nu reuseste, atunci va trebui sa inlocuiesti formatter-ul. daca nu exista hard disk

Good luck
