If you recently dropped your laptop or even spilled something on it accidentally, it would prevent your touch screen from working.

Sometimes the video card in laptops burns out depending upon how much and how long you keep your computer running and how many different software and programs you run at the same time.

If you're not familiar with your laptop I would recommend you ask someone who's familiar with computers, to take your video card out and check it into an compatible laptop and see if that's your problem. If it is, you would just have to replace it in order to work.

Sometimes, there are two possibilities that occur at the same time, and I recently discussed the first one above, and the other is that both your screen and video card managed to shortage almost at the same time.

I hope this helps you.

How do i turn the "touchscreen" off on an Asus S200E vivobook touchscreen laptop? please i need help urgent!

Press the Windows logo key + X.

Click the little arrow next to Human Interface Devices to expand the list.

Click the touch screen driver (in my case, NextWindow Voltron Touch Screen).

Right-click, and select Disable from the list.

Click Yes on the dialog box that asks if you are sure you want to disable the touch screen driver.

When you want your touch screen to work again, follow the process above, EXCEPT when right-clicking the touch screen driver, select Enable

I have an Asus S500 vivobook and the the touch screen doesn't to be working. How can I fix this please?

If recovery doesn't solve it (F9 at start up, Asus logo), You need to send it in to the repair center for touch firmware update/lcd replacement.

Touch screen

Asus does not have a model named 501J. If you mean k50IJ, it is not a touch screen.

My touchscreen on my asus Q500 laptop has stopped working

I have had the same issue with two brand new Q500 laptops. Asus will tell you to return it saying it is a hardware issue or do a REST and loose all your installation efforts. It is obvious that the issue comes back after a windows update.

Touch screen not working

Hi,
That's the main problem with most of the touch screen.
In case, if it's not working, you need to replace that ( In case, you are sure you haven't played with settings )...

Reset the phone - Factory settings.
In case if the issue would be there, confirmed faulty touch screen. If under warranty, get that exchanged unless buy a new touch screen.
Go for original touch screen setting unless might cause this issue again.
Thanks for using Fixya.
