Question about Pioneer Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I own a Pioneer stereo double cassette deck (CT-W820R). I put a tape in Deck 1 and it is stuck in there and I can't open the door. The counter lights for both decks are flashing. I've turned the power off and back on, tried to press the stop button and nothing happens. Nothing seems to be responding.

The cassette tape is probably wrapped around the traction wheels inside the deck.
Also the cassette may have gone out of the deck door guides on the sides, this may prevent the door from opening.

You need to push the cassette inside with door partially open using a screwdriver, and re fit the cassette inside the two guides at the sides of the door.

If this does not work you may need to take apart the deck to remove the tape.

Pioneer CT-W208r won't eject tape.

These dual cassette decks were throw away units in most cases. The belt inside and the grease in the cam mechanism is in bad shape and the deck can not cycle through the steps it need to so as to reach stop. Only stop mode will allow the door block to release. The tape can safely be extracted by a Technician. The deck need work. Dual cassette decks are not always worn the repair cost.

Where can I buy Pioneer CT-W701R Stereo Double Cassette Tape Deck Riemen Belt

If the methods listed in the manual won't open the door, then the tape is not inserted properly. Insert a golf tee in one of the two small holes below the tape door and slightly adjust the position of the tape up, down, or sideways. Then press the eject button and it should open. This will only work if the belt is OK.

Pioneer Stereo double cassette deck Ct-W302R - is it repairable?

They might be repairable but usually at a cost that exceeds it value. Who wants to pay $150 to fix what was known as a throw away tape deck? Not many. It might even exceed $150 as they are complicated to repair bot being designed to be repaired.

I need a complet set of belts for my Pioneer CT-W103 Double Cassette Deck.

Just measure the diameter of each belt (in mm) and then search with Google. Belts are generally not maker specfic.

I have a Stereo Double Cassette Deck; Pioneer CT-W404R. I've set the REV MODE switch; I've pressed the record button; I press playback and the tape for recording begins moving, but not the other tape. If I...

I was following instructions for "Recording." On the next page were instructions for "Tape Copying," though the first page began with, "Load a tape for recording in Deck II." That sounded like what I wanted. Anyway, that was my error.

CT-W602R Dual Cassette Deck- door won't open

Dear etu7diante,
The another way to release the cassette from the deck is by moving the flywheel manualy after opening the cover of the system. The system should be disconnected from the power supply. If you are able to to do this please let me know .later I can guide you to do the job.

Problem with deck B on Pioneer CT-W205R

Better tape decks, like Pioneer, may use a different mechanism for record/play than FF & REW. So it sounds like a belt or mechanical link for the REC/PLAY has failed.
