Question about Ariston Technologies Ariston AWD12 Front Load Washer/Dryer

1 Answer

Leaky pump Had a plumber look at my machine (Margarita A1244C) And he cured a leak caused by an ill-fitting front filter, but he found a another small leak caused he thought, by the pump, which he said was now not available. He said that, providing that I didn't mind the small puddles it would be OK to use. But I would prefer to have it put right. I appreciate, that by todays standards that it is getting on a bit. but as there is only me and EVERYThING gets bunged in, whites and all! So of course, it only gets used at most, once a week. So I don't feel, even if I could afford it, to shell out for a new one! HELP!! Ken

Hi ,

Please verify the model number as there is no model found in the catalogue Margarita A1244C. Also is it a dish washer or washing machine.

Thanks

Water leaking in front load washing machine

In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occur. Removing and cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there are gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

Washer leakes from front

Good Afternoon, Jataw42:

A leak from the front means a problem at the pump, or in the attached hoses.  A large leak means a hose has to be replaced, and a small leak means the pump has to be replaced.

Both are simple fixes, and these guys have everything you need.  Here are the parts:

#904568 for the drain hose from the pump  and #1304058 from the tub to the pump.

These are here:  http://www.repairclinic.com/Kenmore-Washing-Machine-Hose-Tube-Or-Fittings-Parts?s=b6a11c23p

The pump can be found here:

and the video instructions are great.

Good Luck to you!

Leak from filter pump on Whirlpool AWM6111

If it is just leaking from the filter front, then you can replace the filter and seal as a seperate item.
If this does not cure it, then the only solution would be to replace the complete pump assy.

Bosch2401 water leaking from a lower part towards

It is either the pump that is leaking, or the filter.
I would start by fitting a new filter, and if that does not cure the leak, then you are going to have to fit a new pump.

Smells like rotten eggs

The smell of rotten eggs normally means you have some water that has been sitting arround awhile and has gone bad. You may have to unplug your machine and remove the front cover to take a look arround the inside of your machine to see if any water has leaked out and has puddled up. You may also have something caught in the drain pump's filter, which may have gone rotten from sitting around too long. This filter is easy to unscrew and gain access to once you have the front cover off. Make sure you have lots of towels or a wet vac handy when you unscrew the filter cover.
