Where may I get copy of file M2Plusse.rom

That would be the Bios file for "ASUS M2N-MX Motherboard", you can download the Bios file @ Asustek Support Site.

If your want to flash your Motherboard Bios you have to rename the downloaded Bios file to "M2PLUSSE.ROM"

Hope it helps.

I've AMD Athlon 64 bit processor 2800+ Motherboard Asus K8S-MX Series SiS 760 Fx series chipset BIOS version: 08.00.11 How can I save my current bios and update bios??

you must plug in your pc with ups

do step by step from internet and alwayas choice last date
http://support.asus.com/technicaldocuments/technicaldocuments_content.aspx?no=714

for download =http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Asus-K8S-MX-Bios-1013-Download-13287.html

1st thing you'll need to do is go to the motherboard manufacturer's website & download the new BIOS file & the flashing program. These 2 files will have to be copied to a bootable floppy, then you'll have to boot off it & do the update from DOS. The motherboard website should have a detailed explanation on how to perform a flash...print out the instructions & follow them exactly & you should have no problem

How to flash bios asus p4ge-mx-00 flash type-sst 49lf003a 3mb / 3.3v

Follow the instructions in your manual. Start with section 2.1 on page
2-2 to page 2-8
Managing and updating your bios. As mentioned in your manual you can also run Asus Update from the driver CD that came with your MB.
You can also call Asus and order a updated bios chip for your board at: 1-812-282-2787 M-F EST 8:00AM-5:00PM. Have the serial number ready when calling. S/N is located on the LPT port. Only seen from within your case. Average cost is $6.00 shipping not included.

FAULTY PARALLEL PORT ON ASUS P4P800-MX

can you try check what the bios settings for lpt1 are first?
You should have SPP or standard / ECP or EPP etc.

To flash your bios you will have to download the new bios and the flash utility from here for your model:

Error takes place whenever i install the driver of the motherboard Asus x series K8S-MX socket754 sis760gx fsb800 vga integrated Agp8x

what kind of error

try flashing the bios but before you do i need to know what kind of error you are having. it could be a bad disc try putting the driver on a flashdrive downloaded from ASUS first then flash the BIOS if all else fails.

Booting problem

If you have flashed your BIOS, you need to go into bios and select load optimised or default settings, reboot then go into bios and check the boot order of the HDD to ensure the HDD with the OS is the first boot drive

post back results and I will try to assist you more.

BIOS 1004 cpu not support

I got it :-)

Damn Asus , it was a hard session ;-)

1. Make an ISO from your original Asus CD denn insert (with isobuster or something) the Bios Firmware 1004 in the main Dir name the file M2N-MX.ROM

2.Burn a Second disc with the 0804 Bios ROM also rename the 0804 Rom to M2N-MX.ROM

3. Go to EZ FLASH with ALT + F2 and then insert the 1004 CD wait till Erasing is ready Then Turn OFF your PC :-) so you crashed the bios thats what you need to run the embeded CrashFRee Tool

4 After you turn your PC on insert the 0804 CD then it flashes the this Rom and we are Happy :-)

Bios update

make sure your bios is an eprom. people download bios upgrades only to find their bios is not a flash bios. that is it doesn't have the infrared source to physically "flash" the chip.
