why does Foxconn Socket 478 655A01 FX 6LRS motherboard keeps switching off

- no leakages that i can see physically. just swtches off after a while, without any warning....2) also when i do switch it of my own accord, it does not switch off , it loops back and comes back on, ihave 2 phsically switch the tower off from behind with a on and off button......

Did you check the capacitors on the motherboard & made sure there are no leaking capacitors?

hello sir, before we blame the motherboard, there are several reasons why the computer is switching off.
  1. A bad power supply box. A bad PS unit can make your pc switch off. try replacing it with a new one.
  2. A virus that turns off the PC. This is a new virus that modifies you windows setup to restart your PC at logon or turns off unexpectedly, Reinstalling the OS will solve the problem but make sure your back up files are clean.
  3. over heating problem. install extra exhaust fan on you chassis, make sure hot air is going out and cool air is going in.
