I have a Bissell ProHeat 2x advance carpet cleaner . It stop sucking up water. How can I fix it?

First check your filters. The Customer User Guide says to clean them after each use. There's two: The Water Tank Cap filter (looks like a screen) remove it, clean and reinstall, and the Flow Indicator: Turn the Flow Indicator Cap counter-clockwise and remove. Remove the rotor and under it is the filter. Remove, clean and reinstall in reverse order. If that didn't do it call Bissell Consumer Care at -1-800-237-7691 Hope that helps.

Replace water pump

  1. Take Out the Old Pump
    • . Jack up the GMC truck using the jack stands to stabilize the vehicle. Disconnect the negative battery cable by opening the hood and using a screwdriver to unscrew the clamp that connects the negative battery cable to the battery post.
    • 2Unscrew the radiator cap to release the pressure. Locate the drain plug underneath the radiator, on the right side. Remove it. Catch the coolant in a clean container and immediately clean up any spills.

      • 3
    • Disconnect the parts leading to the water pump on the engine using an adjustable wrench. In the following order, this includes: air outlet ducts, radiator hose (both ends), coolant fan and clutch, drive belt, surge tank hose and heater hose. As you remove each part, lay it out, alongside its bolts, in the order disconnected.
    • 4Remove the water pump using an adjustable wrench to unbolt the water pump from the block. Take the bolts out in any order. If needed, chisel in the seam between the water pump and the block to separate the two parts.
    • 5Remove the gasket, which may be in pieces on both the water pump and the engine. Wipe the pieces away with a clean shop rag if possible or scrape them away with the chisel if needed.
    Put in a New Pump
    • 6Fit the new gasket onto the new GMC 5.7 water pump. Hold the gasket in place as you mount both pieces onto the engine, where the old water pump sat.
    • 7Set the new bolts carefully into the holes in any order. Many 5.7 engines use two rounds of tightening, first with 11 foot pounds of torque and then with 22 foot pounds of torque. Reconnect the rest of the parts in the order you took them off, replacing any worn or damaged parts along the way.
    • 8Place the drain plug back in the bottom of the radiator. Refill it with coolant as specified in your owner's manual. Screw the radiator cap back on. Then, lower the truck back to the ground, close the hood and clean up any spilled coolant.
    • 9Replace and tighten the negative battery cable to the post with the screwdriver. Start the GMC engine and check for leaks. Don't forget to remove the cinder blocks before driving.

Where is the spill valve on my 3.550 pressure washer

The only washer that I know that calls their pressure control valve a "spill valve" is Karcher. On their 3500 units it is under a 3/8" cap screw... which may have a marker seal of yellow or red paint on it. Removal is best acheived by removing the cap with a screw driver, note the orientation of a small bushing and remove it and then turning on the washer, with water supply attached. Be careful to hold a small bucket over the hole as the parts will pop out. The spill valve is the most common cause of the pressure not "kicking in". The first symptoms are usually a hesitation to "kick in", progressing to.... not kicking in at all. Unless the spill valve is broken at the stem, it can be "rebuilt" by replacing the orings, cleaning the housing cylinder and re-lubricating with "waterproof" grease.

Battery has liquid on top

The battery is charging with trickle charger. The liquid could be just water from condensation from the recharging process. If the charging is too vigorous, then it can also be sulfuric acid, so rubber gloves are in order. Clean up liquid with gloves on and paper towels. Once dry carefully remove caps and check water level. refill battery with distilled water to top of cell. Check water level at least twice a year. Wear safety glasses too.

My 1997 polaris jet ski keeps taking in water? what could this be??

Unplugged water tube, cracked water tube, bad drive shaft hull seal, hole/crack in the hull, cracked water box, broken exhaust jacket water seal, water tubes plugged in incorrectly, no cap on flush kit, broken fitting on motor, etc. Dry out the boat take off the seat and place it in the water and look to see where the water is coming into the hull.

What is involved in changing water pump 2000 300m

remove the upper radiator support panel, remove the engine front covers, remove timing belt (should be replaced when replacing water pump). You will need a large bench vise to compress the timing belt tensioner. Book says to remove the crank pulley but you can get by without doing it. Be sure to wash all of the spilled coolant out of the timing belt area as coolant tends to do nasty things to timing belts.
