IAM HAVING PROBLEM TO GET THE MINI DV CASSETTE COMPARTMENT TO OPEN.
UNIT IN SAFEGUARD MODE REMOVE AND REATTACHED BATTERY.

YOUR TAPE MAY BE DAMAGED IF YOU TRY TO OPEN THE
CAMCORDER - HOLD EJECT BUTTON DOWN BEFORE ! YOU
REATTACH BATTERY THEN READ THE ERROR CODE ? IF IT
STILL DOES NOT EJECT .

I had a similar problem with GR-DF570AG. When reattaching the battery in some modes (e.g. with the tape door open, or when trying to play a tape), I could hear the tape motor trying to start. So I just kept attaching and reattaching the battery, in different modes. Eventually, the tape ejected (I think I had the battery door open when reattaching the battery, at this point). Once the tape had ejected, I was able to insert a new tape and it all works fine.

We are trying to record, but the message REMOVE CASSETTE will not leave the screen and it beeps. When we attempt to eject the cassette, it will not pop open. We cannot get the cassette out.
