There are two small screws on ethier side of the bottom of the actual hdd120, this was my sisters mp3 and i paniced and took the two screws out only to find 2 grey matalic sides, on the right hand side of the mp3 player you will notice that there is a small gap just above and to the right hand side again where you can shove a small object in. even though this soloution is dangerous and i dont know what could have happened ... i slowly poked a knife into the whole and saw a spark! the mp3 then turned off ...

however i pieced the mp3 player back together and pressed the power botton and it can on,

although i tried this method, i am tied between wether i should or shouldnt recomend it to anyone because there luck may not be as good as mine.

Won't start up

Either power or logic board problem. If it chimes but does not boot and the screen lights up then it is a good sign. Will it do anything?

If does nothing try a different power supply first.

Try removing battery and disconnecting power supply, then try to start it without battery and just power supply.

then try charging the battery overnight. If the lights on the battery show any charge after a few hours with it plugged in and the computer turned off, try letting it charge overnight and then try starting it without power supply connected. If none of these thigs help, I would have to look at it.

My Gogear Vibe MP3 is frozen on the playlist screen. Won't change screens, won't turn off, doesn't do anything when you plug it ino the pc

Try Resetting it, by getting a sharp edge (something) and pressing the button on the left side of the device..if that doesnt work, try waiting for the battery to die, the reset, then try charging it again. Hope this helps.(:

Forerunner 405 completely frozen

I had exactly the same problem. i looked through this site and found some advice that said to hold both buttons (quit/enter) for 7-10 seconds, which resets, but apparently doesn't wipe your info - happy days :)

My creative zen: vision M has frozen. Have tried re-setting it but that doesn't work. I can only access one screen listing my playlists and none of the other buttons on the device seem to work. When I plug...

push the reset button, and hold the power switch at the same time, when you release them it should give you a screen with the option to rebuild, reset, and erase. see if these options work, if not then you hav a problem with the drive in the player. In that case, if it is recognized by the computer, try running a chkdsk utility on it. Let me know ASAP. Best of luck dude :)

I turned my philips hdd120 off and only half the screen went off and now its frozen and wont turn back on. pls can someone help me.

Connect your HDD/GoGear to the power supply with the AC/DC adapter, do a soft reset by pressing and holding the 051024111737_406.gif and the volume + keys at the same time for a couple of seconds, then switch on the Jukebox with the 051024111737_407.gif button normally.

The screen is frozen

Have you tried a reset? Use a paper clip to push the reset button in the back.
There is also a Hard reset that will wipe out the memory on your Palm. Just hold down the power button while pushing the reset button. Hold the power button until the Palm logo appears on the screen.
Here's a link to more reset information:,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External2001,case=obj(887)#hard
