Rear window washer not working.

I have just bought a 2000 Dodge Caravan and the rear window washer does not work. As far as I know the washer fluid reservoir is under the hood and handles fluid for both front and rear windows. Are there two separate pumps? The front works fine, but I dont get any fluid to the back of the vehicle. Could this be a fuse issue or a blocked line perhaps? I also dont hear he washer motor turn if I push the button in on the console. How do I check if the line itself is blocked?

Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can see if the lines are blocked by blowing air thru the lines with a air tank and nozzle. There are 2 pumps, one for the rear ( black) and one for the front( white) located behind the right front fender in the wheel well

I had similar problems, Solution for me was to find a 1997 Haines repair manual, with the engine switched off, listenfor the sound of the pump operating when the washer button is pressed, if it runs, remove the front plastic cowl piece that the washer nozzles attach to, remove the rubber fluid lines from the nozzles, check that fluid squirts out of the hoses from the pump motor and then clean them and the nozzels out thoughly. I found a wad of very small fibre and gunk right where the tubing fits into the plastic nozzle parts. Still got a problem with the rear but I am assuming it is similar and that I need to find how to easily get to the back of the rear nozzle.

My windshield washers do not work on my 2006 Dodge Caravan SXT. No fuse in front/rear washer slot but worked before. Slot has no prongs in it. There is no humming sound when washer button is pressed....

The easist thing to do would be to access the washer pump. It will be mounted on the washer bottle. you will likely have to remove the inner fender/splash shield to gain access. once unplugged use a volt meter to check for power and ground at the connector. have a helper turn the washer on. if you see power than the washer pump is the most likely problem. If memory serves correctly this pump will have two hoses attached to it. The pump rotates in opposite directions depending on whether you want washer fluid on the front or rear window. It does this via the front IPM (integrated power module) which reverses polarity on the two pins to spin the pump in one direction or the other.

I have a 2005 Dodge Caravan and when I push the washer for the back window it sprays on the front window. The dealer said this van only has one pump(up front). Also the power driver seat works for front...

What happens when you push the washer for the front? if this van has a frt and rear washer then there should be two buttons for the washers, if this van has two then i have seen where the pumps where connected backward so the frt sprays in the rear and the rear spray to front but again this is for dual window washers, as far as the back rest you will need to do some testing, you wiil need to test the switch for the back rest and see if its a bad switch or motor, good day.

How do I fix my window washer pump on my 2000 dodge caravan?

One can get a repair kit that includes a new motor pump and wiring clips, or

one can get the original motor that plugs into the windshield wiper fluid reservoir.

---
Windshield wiper reservoir (gives idea of how to change the windshield wiper fluid pump motor) Removal & Installation To Remove:
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  3. Remove the right front wheel and splash shield.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the pumps and detach the rear washer hose.
  5. Place a drain pan under the reservoir if it contains fluid.
  6. Disconnect the front washer hose at the wiper unit in the engine compartment. NOTE: The front hose will be removed with the reservoir.
  7. Let the fluid drain from the reservoir.
  8. Remove the mounting screws and the reservoir.
To Install:
  1. Install the fluid reservoir with the mounting screws.
  2. Connect the front washer hose in the engine compartment.
  3. Connect the electrical connectors and rear washer hose.
  4. Install the splash shield.
  5. Install the right front wheel.
  6. Lower the vehicle.

02 grand caravan. front & rear washers do not work. could this be vacuum related?

I wouldn't think so, the windshield and rear window washer are operated with independent pumps in their respective reservoir. I would check fluid levels and washer fuse(s)

Rear window washer-no fluid

You may have a line disconnected or the tank may be emply? Are all lines connected at the rear blade? I believe the fluid comes from the front tank under the hood. Check the lines from the tank.
Also check the pump. Can you hear the pump when using rear wiper/washer?

2000 dodge durango/rear window washer fluid

well, i don't know if it was much of a solution. I figured out there was only one resevoir for the front and rear washer fluid...located the hose going to the rear and disconnected it from the electric pump attaced to the resevoir. Once the hose was disconnected i activated the pump and the fluid shot out of the pump indicating it was working. So, i figured it must be some kinda blockage in the hose line...so, i pushed air through the line in hopes that it might work to clear it out...well, don't know if that was the trick but when i reconnected the hose it worked!

1997 Dodge Grand Caravan rear winsdhield pump not working

try the rear cargo area on either side. There should be a removeable panel for access.
You will need a funnel.

Winshield washer fluid

Sometimes they have a port in the back along the inside behind an access panel. Others have a seperate washer fluid tank in the motor compartment. See if there is an access panel behind the rear seat on either side.
