I have just bought a 2000 Dodge Caravan and the rear window washer does not work. As far as I know the washer fluid reservoir is under the hood and handles fluid for both front and rear windows. Are there two separate pumps? The front works fine, but I dont get any fluid to the back of the vehicle. Could this be a fuse issue or a blocked line perhaps? I also dont hear he washer motor turn if I push the button in on the console. How do I check if the line itself is blocked?
Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
It could a blockage at the spayer outside .take a safety pin and poke in the small hole outside.
to check the button remove,it from the dash take a
12volt tester check to make sure you have poweon one side
Hi Newinca and any car expert
My 1997 caravan has the same problem. The front window washer not working but the rear is ok. I can't hear the front window washer motor pumping when pushing the button.
Please help.
Thx
Kerling
I had similar problems, Solution for me was to find a 1997 Haines repair manual, with the engine switched off, listenfor the sound of the pump operating when the washer button is pressed, if it runs, remove the front plastic cowl piece that the washer nozzles attach to, remove the rubber fluid lines from the nozzles, check that fluid squirts out of the hoses from the pump motor and then clean them and the nozzels out thoughly. I found a wad of very small fibre and gunk right where the tubing fits into the plastic nozzle parts. Still got a problem with the rear but I am assuming it is similar and that I need to find how to easily get to the back of the rear nozzle.

windshiled washer fluid does not come out and I dont hear the pump working
You can see if the lines are blocked by blowing air thru the lines with a air tank and nozzle. There are 2 pumps, one for the rear ( black) and one for the front( white) located behind the right front fender in the wheel well
