Samsung YP-U3 mp3 - Can't get my songs to play in certain order

Hi,

A week ago i bought a Samsung YP-U3JQB and for about a week i have been trying create/manage the order of which my songs play in. For example, instead my mp3 playing in alphabetically or its own kind of order, i want it to play Johnny Cash - Mercy seat then Devotchka - How it ends then, Jim Reeves - The blizzard.

I even changed/renamed the ID tag.I changed 'Johnny Cash - Mercy Seat' to ' 10) Johnny Cash - Mercy Seat and i have put a certain number in front all artist/song titles in order to structure the order of song play- didn't work

I have even used Samsung media player to create a playlist in certain order but even this didn't work

I'm seriously considering getting a new mp3 because this is stressing me out. I previously had a samsung 1GB YPU3ZB and all i had to do was just change the id tag to set some kind of order.

I would truly appreciate if anyone could help me out with this problem, many thanks.

I've never seen a MP3 player that you can select the order in which multiple songs are played, unless you do it manually or only have the song you want to play on it.
I think your efforts will be in vane.  Sorry

I have a JQB and have just found an interesting way to get playlists working:
Create a playlist in Windows Media Player and copy it to your YP-U3's Playlists folder - This will convert the playlist to the correct .pla format needed for the MP3 player to read it.
Then go to the folder in Windows Explorer, right click the playlist file and click Properties, then go to the References tab.
With this Properties window still open, back up to your Music on the MP3 player and drag and drop the songs you want to the References window. You can then order/delete songs in the playlist as you wish.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Wont power on completlley dark

Hold the on/off, record, and hold buttons all at the same time.

Mine actually did the same thing and it worked for me.

I found out that it was only doing it for a certain song, so you might also want to check the song you're listening to and delete it from your playlist.

Samsung YP-U3 driver

REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes yes yes yes!!!!!!!!
I solved the problem after i was really crazy of anger with samsung company, but i found this solution in one forum.Thank you
very much, anonymous Guest!!!!!
Hi All,
I just solved the problem after many attempts!
It works for me, and i hope it works for you too~First install media player 10!
When I plug in my YP-U3 player, the computer says it needs to search for a driver, then i let it search it online. But it normally
won't search the driver on the internet. Then, it will give a prompt to ask if you want to find a solution or search the driver from
the PC. Choose the second option, searching from the PC. Then change the directory to C: (Which is the most crucial part).
After a while, the driver should be found and a warning message will appear. Forget about the warning, choose install the
hardware anyway, player should be recognized by then.
(I have had windows media player 11(10 also works), direct X 9...etc. before installing the driver)
