Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
Got a 4yo Dell Inspiron 6000 (generally, fairly happy with it); but it seems my backlight (CCFL) is defective. Getting a replacment display - which would ensure both inverter and CCFL are working), I was quoted almost $A700 for it. For that price, I can buy a new laptop with similar features (check out laptop.com.au) for less. Or even a better one!
Found a site offering a (allegedly new) replacement display for $480 - half of what Dell quoted. The best option might be to buy a new laptop.
