Question about Motorola Mobility H500 Wireless Headset

Motorola H500 Wireless Headset

I have had my headset for about 2 years and it has been great. But now when i press the button to make a call nothing happens and my phone displays a message saying insufficient storage space on device. How do i delete the information stored on it. As far as i was aware the only thing stored on it was the info which is used to pair it up to my phone. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately i do not have a pda, and its the actual headset that is the problem so deleting text messages and various other things does not help either.
    Thanks anyway.

If you have a pda that phone has internet, just like a regular computer every once in a while you clear you cookies and delete any temporary files on there. That contributes to usage of memory space. If that doesn't solve the problem try removing things you don't use often like text messages, applications, ringers etc.

I have charged the blue tooth but I do not know how to turn it on to pair it with my phone

Well, try to press the Call button: it is the button that has got telephone drawed. Hold it until you see the blue light steadily lit. That means that you just turned on and putted the headset into pairing mode. Now find Motorola H500 over your mobile phone. You will need to put a pass, and it is by default (i think, on ALL Motorola Headsets): 0000. You're ready for using!

Here are the steps to put it into pairing mode. Also please make sure you click the YES button below my response here to indicate my answer was helpful. It would mean a great deal to me if you could do so. Thank you

1. With the headset power off, press and hold
the Call button for 6 to 10 seconds until the
blue indicator light turns on and remains
steadily lit. (The light will flash while you
hold the Call button.)

2. If the indicator light is flashing or does not
remain steadily lit, turn off the headset and
repeat step 1.

Trying to pair with blackberry curve, asking for alpha numeric passkey? I have had this headset for several years. do not have any manual or original packaging

I have a Sprint Blackberry 8830 and a Motorola H500 headset which I no longer have the instructions for. My Blackberry wouldn't find the device. Through trial and error I found that, to pair the headset with the Blackberry, I had to press and hold the call button until it was solid blue, then the Blackberry found it. The passcode is 0000 for this one.

Motorola H500 and a motorola v3x phone searches and finds headset but won't connect

1.Press and hold the Multifunction button in the middle of a boom headset while the headset is closed. The light will glow blue.2.Open the boom microphone and the blue light should remain on. If not, repeat step 1.
3.On the cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device
4.Select H500 once a connection is detected.
5.The passkey "0000" is now entered to confirm the connection has been made.
6.The cell phone screen will now read "Bluetooth Connection".

Tips:
1.Provided you set the Bluetooth power to "On" after the initial connection has been made, the phone will automatically re-connect to the headset.
2.To set the Bluetooth power on - Press Menu, Select Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth link, scroll to Setup and select that. Scroll to Power and chose Change. Scroll to On and press Select. The screen should now read "Changed: Power On".
3.Test Your Connection: Close the headset and watch for cell phone to say "Disconnected". Re-open the headset and the phone should be connected automatically and will now display "Bluetooth Connected".

please give good rating if the solution works.

Blue tooth not transmitting to caller

Did you check that you didn't by mistake activate mute? Also, check that there is nothing obstructing the microphone hole on the headset.
If it is indeed on mute. Press both volume buttons at the same time you will hear two descending audio tones.

H500 won't pair with Blackberry Curve

It might already have been figured out but if you hold the answer button on the headset down until the light stays on steady, it is in pairing mode. You can then go to bluetooth setup on the Curve and it will find the headset.
