can turn it on using the temperature nozzle at the bottom, but the power one doesnt work. the pressure of the water increases when u turn it to cold but turns off when u turn it to hot. the top nozzle has no effect
Check the water heater to see if the outlet shut-off valve is closed slightly. Maybe there is a valve just for that particular bathroom in the attic.
If neither of these are the case then it is time to check the washers and o-rings inside of the valve body. THis is accomplished by turning off the water supply where it enters the house, removing the handles, loosening the packing nut, pulling stem out and changing the washers. The replacement is just the opposite.

My shower (fiberglass) drain is leaking and needs to be replaced. I can pop off the drain cover to reveal a pvc collar that is glued down and unmoveable. I have ripped the ceiling open underneath the shower and can see light coming through brightly in the upstairs drain. I don't know how to remove the old pvc drain. Any suggestions? Thanks, Susan

My GS thermostatic valve in my shower is slowly but surely losing its ability to keep the temperature hot. I have to turn the temp up higher and higher to keep it comfortable and now it is all the way up and merely tepid. I know hot water is getting to the bathroom because the water from the sink tap is just as hot as ever.
