Wireless network madness

By picogram36 on Apr 12, 2009

after going ''dry loop'' with my DSL, I had to set up a new account with ATT. Prior to this, modem (an ancient Wirespeed) and router (Linksys 2.4 wireless) were working splendidly.
Now, I can't even get the wired LAN to work reliably. The computer's wireless says it's up but it's not. Going into the router via the IP everything looks good.
At one point, went to reset the modem and realized I couldn't find ANY reset button/access and here I am looking for the manual on that. Instead, I figured I'd post a bigger picture note.
I'm not a total newbie, but certainly no networking guru. :D
Many thanks!

- Apologies for the confusion.
Yes - all set on that end: logged into the router and set the new account and password. This is part of the frustration. PPoE settings all look good - this was part of the reason I thought maybe I needed to start over - reset the modem. But then the modem is so old I couldn't find any info on how to reset it - no apparent button or even a tiny area for a paperclip. I have also attempted the unplug maneuvers, etc.
The modem is a Westell Wirespeed and the router is a Linksys 2.4 wireless. Again, all was well for years prior to this account change-over. Sheesh.
Any ideas?

when you set up a new account did you create a new username
