HI THERE I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A 42 INCH SWISSTEC TV BUT NO INSTRUCTION MANUAL WAS WITH THE TV I HAVE THE NECESSARY CABLE AND SCART LEAD AND CONTROL BUT I CANNOT GET ANY INFO ON THE TV EVEN THRU THE MENU BUTTONS, I HAVE SKY TV TUNED IN BUT I CANT GET FREEVIEW, I AM ASSURED THERE IS FREEVIEW ON THE SET BUT CANNOT GET ANYWHERE WITH IT CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE THANKING YOU RUTH

hello firstly scart lead from sky box to tv1 in) this is at the top there are two AV inputs ,,,on the bottom AV slot this is where your DVD conects too).iff you are using sky you will not need aerial in back of tv as this is for analogue use such as indoor antenna or outdoor antenna or iff using horizon the scart lead will suffice for all goodluck

Take a SCART lead and connect the output from the SKY box and connect to anyone of the SCART sockets on the TV. Alternatively take the digital out from the Sky box to a digital input on the TV. The necessary connection wires can be obtained from most TV Retailers, Electrical Chain Stores, Some PC dealers, online at eBay, etc. Direct Digital connection will give the best quality picture and if you use a SCART cable then make sure it is high quality thick shielded cable and gold flashed connectors as there are many inferior products out there.

Hello Paul,
all you need to do is plug the power in, put the scart lead into the back of your Pioneer tv, the other end of your scart into the bottom scart of your sky box named TV.

you will also need to connect the sky cable to the box to receive your signal. its a F type connector ie it screws on.

The other cable you have with the 6 push in coloured leads they are Component cable and the red and white ones are Audio cables. You will not need these cable unless your sky box is a HD box then i would suggest you get a HDMI cable instead of using component (less cables showing) dont be fooled into buying gold plated HDMI cables as they do not make any difference to the picture Quality as the back of the sky box is alley and so is the telly. So please dont waste your money on that type of cable.

If you have a cable box or freeview box, your main aerial lead plugs into the box. Then you connect a scart lead from your cable box/freeview box/ or dvr box to ext 1 on the tv. Where the aerial lead plugs into your cable/freeview/dvr box, there may be an aerial out socket too. You could connect a patch lead from the box to your tv as well so you have UHF direcy from your cable/freeview/dvr box to the TV as well as scart

hello make sure the scart lead is connected tight

Do you still need instructions on how to use it?

Make sure that you haven't pressed input by mistake i.e going onto scart or pc input press TV on the remote and try this.
also check that the scart cable is fully inserted into the TV as well as the digi box or VCR or what ever.

you could try the scart socket for audio out ,it could be worth a try.
A scart to phono adaptor would let you connect to your amplified spaekers but would only give a fixed audio level,
ie you could not adjust the sound via the tv remote control
be careful if you connect any speakers to the tvs speakers you could damage the audio op stage on the tv ,
