How do i get the internet explorer message that appears from time to time off the screen of motorola mc3190 without having to shut it down

The key combination you looking for to close any window or message in a Windows environment is ALT+F4, depending on the type of keypad the Motorola MC3190G are using.

Please Note: Keypad functions can be changed by an application so the mobile computer keypad may not function as described.

48-Key Keypad

The ALT functions are indicated in blue on the keypad, so in order to use these, you have to activate the ALT Functions first by pressing the BLUE BUTTON (FUNC) (Right side below ENTER button) and then press the CTRL BUTTON (left side below BKSP button).

After the key combination is pressed, the ALT icon appears on the taskbar on WinCE devices or the ALT icon appears at the bottom of the screen on Windows Mobile 6.5 devices.

Now you can press the "D" button to use F4, this will close any window or message that is currently in view.

38-key Keypad

Press the blue FUNC BUTTON (Right side below RIGHT ARROW button), and then press CTRL button (Middle below UP ARROW button), now you can press the F4 button.

28-Key Keypad

Press the blue FUNC button (Bottom right next to Power button), and then press the CTRL button (Top right side below RIGHT ARROW button), now you can press number 4 to use F4.

Hope this helps, good luck.

How do you allocate an action to a button on the keypad.

Hi to program your soft keys either follow the instruction or click on the link that I have posted, the video shows the newer handsets but these are very similar to your 12 button handset, ther are 60+ training clips at http://abbeytelecom.com

Press the transfer button followed by 200

Enter 1234

Press 1 to 'ENABLE'

Press the speaker key

Now press 722 followed by the extension number of the handset.

Type in the number of the button you wish to change.

If it is button 3 then type 03, if it is button 11 type 11 etc.

Once you have done this the cursor will move to the right hand side of the screen.

Next press the letter D on the keypad followed by plus on the volume until it says DS.

When it says DS press the 3rd grey key beneath the screen followed by the extension number. EG DS255.

Once you have done this press the 3rd grey key beneath the screen to save.

Black screen Sony Ericsson K850i

Hi,

I just had the same problem. I tried everything including resetting the whole phone upgrading the software etc etc.

I was convinced it was a softare problem, but my screen only went black when i press the buttons on one side of the keywpad so i started thinking it may simply be hardware related.

I tried taking off the case but didnt have the screw drivers to do this.

Eventually in a fit of rage I threw my phone on the floor (Carpetted floor) and too my surprise the problem got better! I basically gave my phone a few more whacks and it started to work fine again.

I am not suggsting you start whacking your phone, but i imagine if you took off the case and re-fitted it this would work.

Good luck.

How di I get my K850i to show the time in screen saver mode

Press the volume button on the side of the phone to display a screen similar to previous Sony Ericsson Cybershot phones during standby mode. It will display the time and a message icon. This is probably an energy saving feature when the screen goes black in standby mode, but you must press the volume button to get to that screen.
