Re: Kenmore Elite HE3 washer

Set the washer to fill. open the lid and depress the lid switch. might be in the rear of the cover or on the side. watch to see where the water level comes to. once the tub is filled, the water height switch operates the timer motor for the different cycles.

When I take the clothes out of the machine some of the items have brown dirty strips. What is the cause of this?

mold or rust in the lower portion of the unit?
Try filling the washer slightlyBEFORE putting the clothes in. I know some washers will lock out the door after filling so you will have to feel this one out.
Good luck and be careful!

Kenmore HE3 stuck in delay cycle and won't unlock or cancel

YOu more than likely have suds in your washer, or an extremely unbalanced load. push the pause cancel button twice, that should unlock the washer. open the washer, and look inside. Is there a lot of suds, or towels that are tangled up? If so, add some fabric softener to the wash tub and do a rinse drain spin (for suds) for the extremely unbalanced load, take the towels (or what ever load you are doing) and put about 1/2 of them in. I have the same washer and have experienced this "problem" once or twice in 7 years. And those were the two culprits. Hope that helps

My Sears Kenmore, 2 years old washing machine is ripping clothes

If this has a paddle, check it for a sharp edge, also make sure it is not loose, the top cap should be able to be pulled off to see the locking
bolt, and you can check to see if it has loosened.

Feel everywhere on the inside of the washer for a edge that might be catching your cloths. You can also try the gentle cycle and see if it does not rip them.

You did not post the model# ,so I have no clue what style it is.

F2 error code on my Kenmore Elite HE3 washer

Depending on how fritzed your drain pump is this may or may not work. I've been using HE detergent because it is supposed to cause fewer suds. However, apparently is causing more suds than needed. I need to use only a couple tablespoons? If your clothes are not dirty enough for the soap to grab onto then extra suds are the result. The repair guy said we had an excessive amount of suds in the system and this affects the sensor and causes the drain pump to run and run and run until it shuts off from overheating. This is why we get the F2 and/or suds error code. He said once a month run the machine on the hottest water cycle with a cup of bleach (no clothes). This will clear out any suds build-up and is cheaper than Afresh which works, too, (but smells cleaner than bleach). After sitting for a day our pump started working again (yay!) It also stopped making the horrible loud sound. So glad I do not have to replace the pump!! yet...(knock on wood!).

Clean all of the lint from the inside cabinet and duct work of your dryer. Then, try to clear the odor, by running a couple of loads of old rags or towels. Good luck!
