None of the buttons will work.... anytime you press one (including the power button) the 'TV' button flashes red 4 times. This is the same with the 'VCR' and 'DBS/CBL' and 'DVD' buttons, if you press one of them then try any other button it will flash 4 times. We have tried taking the batteries out and changing them. The buttons on the tv work just fine.

My son put a penny in the SD card slot of my Pansonic flat screen tv. I finally got the penny out but now the volume and tv controls do not work. I can change the channels through my cable box but that is it. The volume does not work on my cable remote or the flatscreen. What do you suggest I do to fix this problem?? Thanks, Josh

Change the aspect ratio to the one you like. Look at the remote and look for a button that says either aspect, pic size or format.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa.These kind of issues in plasma usually happens due to bad cap on any of the boards inside. However, to check what has gone bad you’ll have to open the back of the unit you’ll need to check bulged/swollen capacitors on power supply board. As the unit won’t show anything for a long time so it means that it is the power board which is causing this issue. These issues usually happens due to overheating in plasma TVs after sometime, as these sets are very hard working device and produces a lot of heat. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks
