50.0 can mean either the fuser has suffered an unrecoverable failure or, the power supply is failing. 95% of the time, it is the fuser that is failing. A rebuilt fuser is more economical and their are very good companies that do just that. The best I have seen that is certified by Hewlett-Packard is PARTS NOW!. #1-Remove the ink cartridge and use a q-tip and alcohol to clean the metallic portion of the cartridge. Gently slide the q-tip back and forth across the ink distribution openings, ink should cover the q-tip. dab dry with a paper towel and replace into the printer. #2-With the ink cartridge removed...Check the prongs on your printer that press against your ink cartridge when in place for connectivity. If covered with dry ink, use said q-tip and alcohol to clean. #3-replace the ink cartridge with a new one. Be careful, and gentle with your q-tip, rub easy, and let dry before proceeding. Be safe...and have plenty of paper towels on hand.....wear rubber gloves.....
